Ensuring your voice counts

Did you know that many ballot initiative signatures are disqualified on every petition? Let your voice be heard and make sure that:

1) You are registered to vote in Baltimore City.

2) The name you sign is exactly as it appears on your voter registration card. John M. Doe, John Doe, and John Michael Doe are not interchangeable and use of one over the other can have your voice silenced.

3) The address you use is the one associated with your voter record. Have you moved recently? You can either use the Baltimore City address on your voter registration card or reregister to vote using your current Baltimore City address.

4) Your signature is as it appears in MVA records. When you got your state ID, you had to provide your signature. If you’ve since stylized your John Hancock, revert to what you used at the MVA.

Do you live in Baltimore City, but are still registered elsewhere? The voter registration process is quick and simple and will allow you to have a voice in the issues closest to home.
